Leader of the Suicide Bombings: “Droukdel ordered me to carry out terrorist attacks in seven important sitesâ€
Leader of a terrorist group « Bouderbal Fateh » and direct responsible for suicide bombings implemented recently in Algiers killing hundreds of civilians is referred to the criminal court here on Tuesday.
The accused alias “Abu Basir” was born in 1972, arrested by security services in Algiers (Reghaia) in possession of a Berita pistol and a forged driving license containing his picture under the name of “S.Mourad”. He was also carrying a forged professional card of the national security with his picture under the name of “S.Hamid”. Security men found a collection of leaflets, documents and videos inciting suicide attacks.
The arrested terrorist uncovers the existence of secret caches where terrorists live and plan attacks and suicide bombings, the first situated in Reghaia (Algiers), belonging to the terrorist “Kh.F” where security services found seven bags of explosives, each containing 45kg of explosive materials, and 18 buckets, each with 20kg of explosives. Second terrorist cache in Thenia Beni Daoud (Algiers), where a record of appointing Bouderbala Fateh leader of “Al Ithikhan”sub- battalion, a rocket launcher, and two bombs.
During the investigation the terrorist said that he joined armed activity in November 1993 in El Akhdaria (east of Algiers), in 2000 he was appointed as leader of “Al Farouk battalion”, then returned to “Al Houda battalion” in Djurdjura Mountains (east of Algiers). He added that his terrorist group found affects indicating the death of the National Leader of Terrorists “Sahraoui Nabil” in El Ksar, after his death Droukdel replaced him.
“Doukdel asked me to carry out suicide attacks in Algiers through preparing car bombs. I met with the suicide bombers “Abu Sajida” and Moath Ibn Jabal”. The terrorist group established targets other than the Constitutional Council building and the UN headquarters, including the African Center for Counterterrorism, the National Library, Echorouk Newspaper’s Headquarter, the building of the Central Military Center for Investigation, the Club of Army, the School of Police in Chateau Neuve and the Canadian Embassy”, he asserted.
